Good Morning and welcome.

Usually on a Sunday morning I would be perusing the newspaper and its accompanying magazines whilst enjoying my breakfast but today I will be ditching them in favour of browsing, tea and bagel in hand...... 'Julie's Gems Bloghop!'
It has been a little bit of a rush job as I have been getting to grips with blogging incuding taking pictures and adding them to posts and then adding links to the pictures and blog blinkies etc. A bit of a learning curve whilst actually trying to make items for the blog! So thanks to my lovely Upline Karyn for helping, though a quick call for help can turn into a long enjoyable chat about Stampin' Up and all things crafty! Then the same again relaying the newly garnered info to my fablous DownLine Emma who has made learning about this blogging malarky fun and not such a chore when you want to be making stuff!
I really love the 'Oh, Hello' stamp set and the 'Tea for Two Designer Series Paper' so for my contribution I have made a card inspired by them and also a (first time made) little bag using the 'Tea for Two Designer Fabric' which is not quite finished, needs a little embelishment which I havnt decided on yet sorry.

PS I always have problems reading the letters and numbers, so you might consider turning word verification off. (took me 3 attempts to get it right!)

    1. Hi Kate, being new to blogging, thank you for alerting me about the word verification, seems quite a few have it as I have encountered it myself leaving comments. It is annoying so I have switched it off, though on the plus side it's nice to know Im not a robot? hehe.

    1. Hi Jane do you mean you can't bring yourself to cut up the fabric? Mentioning no names, (you know who you are!) I know people the same about their paper stash. When I see it I'm itching to make something with it. I do have my mistakes but I call these my prototypes that I become attatched to and they are the ones I keep as visual aids/ reminders and for further ideas. I've made some other items from SU fabric and will post some pics soon so I hope you will visit again to take a look. x

    1. Thanks Kylie, I got a tiny little machine just for card making and papercrafts as it doesnt take up much room I can leave it out. I thought I would try using it to make the bag to save me getting my big sewing machine out and was suprised it handled it no problem. Hope you get your machine sorted soon. I love the tag punch and use it so much. Thank you for your kind comment. x

    1. Yes I used a pattern from a Tilda (Tone Finnanger)book called: Sew Pretty Christmas Homestyle. There is a pattern for a smaller version of the bag and other patterns. I made the teddy pattern using the SU canvas fabric and it looks gorgeous, I will take a pic and post it on my blog soon. x
